To start The Process please contact us. Let us know the date of the event, location, and number of guests. Shortly after receiving your inquiry we will get in touch and let you know if your event date is available, present you with the full flavor menu, and schedule a free initial phone consultation.
Initial Consultation
During our initial phone consultation, we will discuss flavors, flavor combinations, and design ideas. Before the consultation, please feel free to email us with pictures of your wedding decor, dress, stationary, and any additional visual materials that help depict the style and feel of what you are looking for. However please note, we do NOT copy cakes of other designers because we believe that each cake is specially designed for every client’s event.
Cake Tasting
After our initial consultation, should you decide that you would like to proceed with Sweet Dreams 716, we will schedule an in-person consultation to further discuss design ideas. We will also prepare for you (+1 guest) up to 3 cake flavors and up to 6 cake fillings of your choosing to sample during our discussion. There is a $75 charge for the in-person consultation and tasting.
*If your cake is more than $1,000 the cost of the cake tasting will be deducted from the cost of the cake.
Sketching and Proposal
Within 3 weeks of our consultation and cake tasting you will receive a proposal with up to 3 options from which to choose, based on your desired flavors and design variations. Each option will include a detailed sketch and description.
Booking Sweet Dreams 716
Once the design and flavors are finalized we will sign the contract (for the cakes 50+ servings) and a NON-REFUNDABLE 50% deposit is due at the time of signing the contract to ensure your date is on the calendar.
*If the event is within 2 months, the total will be due upon signing the contract.
Delivery and Set Up
We take pride in offering a reliable and stress-free cake delivery service to ensure your cakes arrive at your venue fresh, beautifully presented, and meticulously set up.
2 weeks prior to the event date we will contact your wedding planner or venue coordinator to discuss delivery details and the location of the cake display taking into consideration the layout of the venue, proportions, and expected weather. We encourage your cake to be displayed on a cake stand as it elevates the cake and benefits the proportions. A cake stand can be provided by your wedding planner and venue or chosen for rent from a wide range of cake stands from Sweet Dreams 716.
